COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course looks at the key components necessary to be a successful manager in an academic institution. We will focus on the practical elements of school management from the rudimentary elements of administration to academic and people management. The course focuses on key management competencies as outlined by a number of accreditation and training documents.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This course is suitable not only for education managers currently employed in an academic setting, but also for those who are looking to move into that area in the future. This course is for those interested in education management in a number of different settings, from higher education, to further education, right the way through primary and secondary schools.

COURSE AIMS:
The primary aim of this course is to empower academic manager with the tools to be able to grow and prosper in their role. This course will aim to engage with the manager at their level and encourage them to find solutions to any issues that may arise in their day-to-day job. Further than that, this course will help engage each participation with the wider community of education management and encourage them to support them in their future development.

COURSE STRUCTURE:
This course blends synchronous and asynchronous tasks to ensure that all course participants can benefit fully from interaction and knowledge sharing with both the trainer and their colleagues. This course will look at the fundamental of management in education as stated by a number of accreditation frameworks and review baseline success rate across a range of areas. This course seeks to encourage the manager to understand the constraints and the opportunities of their role and to prosper.
